3D Animation & Compositing.
Special FX, 3D models and film composites.
Requirements:
This project that was carried out for YHA and included the creation of models of the still existing castle in its various states through the centuries. The models were then used for composites with live action footage shoot against green screen backdrops. The models include both interior and exterior shots.
There was also a requirement for a range of additional shots of a time traveling machine to pull the story together for the completed DVD.
3D Models :
The large array of models used in the film for both matte paintings, interior and exterior shots took considerable time as many had fine details to ensure the quality of the production. Click the images below to see the full scene (you can also navigate left and right).

Animation:
From 360 rotations to fly through's and planet passes over 290 individual shots have been created for this DVD. See some of the scenes and shots for this production on the SFX show reel below.
Green Screen Composition:
Extensive use of green screen photography was used to add the live action sequences to the 3D elements. See it in action below.
